A smile plays a major role in shaping one's personality. If your smile is good, then it uplifts your confidence and increases your self-esteem. When you feel good and full of confidence, you tend to perform well in social gatherings. If your oral health is not in good condition, it can even hamper your self-confidence. So it is important to make sure that your oral health is in good condition. Having a white tooth plays a major role in uplifting your oral health, and the good news is you can now whiten your teeth using home remedies. That's right. You don't have to invest in expensive oral products. So let's get started with it.

  • Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is a natural bleaching agent that also kills bacteria in your mouth. But unfortunately, there is no study to back the effects of rinsing or brushing with hydrogen peroxide. But it is also true that many commercial kinds of toothpaste have hydrogen peroxide in them. You can also use hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash before you brush your teeth but make sure that you only use a 1.5% solution to avoid the side effects.

  • Brush with the baking soda

Not many people are aware that baking soda has natural whitening properties, which is the primary reason it is being used in most commercial toothpaste. In addition to that, baking soda creates an alkaline environment in your mouth, which prevents bacteria from growing. It is also shown in the studies that toothpaste containing baking soda removes plaque from teeth more. You can buy baking soda online, or you can buy it at a grocery store.

  • Practice oil pulling

This is one of the old methods of cleaning your teeth and making them white. This practice involves swishing oil around the mouth, which helps in cleansing the bacteria, which otherwise could have turn into plaque and cause your teeth to look yellow and stingy. There are many studies to back the fact that daily oil pulling can reduce bacteria from the mouth.

Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.

It is a universal truth that fruits and vegetables are good for our physical health, helping to keep our immune system in a good place. Similarly, eating plenty of fruits and vegetables can also be beneficial for your oral health as well.

So crunching raw fruits and vegetables can help in rubbing plaque away as you chew, keeping chewing healthy stuff.
